When climbing a mountain, we often inevitably encounter the unexpected. Sudden storms, hidden ice patches, loose rocks, and dense fog that obscures what lies ahead remind us that nature never moves exactly as we predict or plan. Yet in those remarkable moments, we find our way through.
We guide one another, encourage one another, and keep moving forward. Together, we have ventured deeper into uncertainty to encounter ‘moments of truth’.
The road ahead for BYN Blackyak Group this year will likewise be a succession of such moments.
The world is entering a profound era of AI-driven transformation. Amid the tension between truth and falsehood, change and uncertainty, humanity is being asked to reflect on its role. Last year, as we envisioned a new future for a hundred-year enterprise, we advanced our passion and vision toward becoming a global number one. United by the identity of Himalayan Original, we continued to challenge ourselves through innovation and technology, striving to enable the harmonious coexistence of nature and people.
By reaffirming Blackyak’s fundamental mission for people, for nature, and for the outdoors, we demonstrated our authenticity. That authenticity resonated on the world stage. At the recent ISPO Munich 2025, we became the only Korean brand to achieve an unprecedented triple win as the only Korean brand to do so, bringing our cumulative total to 36 awards.
Two expedition suits designed for explorers ascending the world’s most demanding high-altitude ranges placed among the top five in the mountaineering category. In addition, our trail running shoes entered in the running and trail running category for the very first time, and earned the awards immediately. These achievements once again proved Blackyak’s exceptional technological excellence.
More than 600,000 BAC members who share a genuine love for mountains gathered at Blackyak Basecamps across the country, leading the way in fostering a sustainable hiking culture. By sharing their individual journeys and stories, and through academy classes that drew enthusiastic participation at each session they explored ways to enjoy nature more deeply and reflect on those experiences in a healthy and lasting way.
We also took a step further by announcing a Climate Charter to protect the Himalayas, the “roof of the world” and the very heritage of BYN Blackyak Group, calling for attention and solidarity from the international community. Proclaimed in Kathmandu, Nepal, the Himalaya Climate Charter marked a global first step toward meaningful change, voiced from the highest place on Earth.
Through continued efforts to urge for climate action and ongoing Himalayan clean-up initiatives, we reaffirmed our path by joining hands to protect the Himalayas, a vital lifeline for billions of people and a cornerstone of the planet’s climate balance.

From a modest shop of barely two pyeong (6.61m²) to where we stand today, having overcome countless challenges with determination, our confidence has been proven time and again.
